Sommerfest Details:

DATE:  Sat., Aug. 2, 2025 – 10am.

COST: $200 per team, payable prior to the first game ($50 discount for teams that have played/are playing in SJK Indoor or 7v7 Outdoor Leagues).

DIVISIONS:  Open, Veterans, and Coed.

ROSTERS: Anyone participating in the tournament must register online through their team leader’s roster link.  You cannot play unless you are registered.  Your team leader will send you a specific roster link.  Anyone playing that is not registered will cause their team to forfeit any game in which the non-rostered player participates.

CHECK-IN TIME: Please notify tournament director Chris Haack that your team has arrived approximately 30 minutes before your first scheduled kick-off time.

GAMES:  Two 21-minute halves; five-minute halftime.  No extra time.  If the championship game is tied at the end of full-time, kicks from the penalty mark shall determine the winner.

SEVEN V. SEVEN SPECIFIC RULES:  No offside.  No slide tackling.  Balls may not be kicked/thrown/punted from one’s own defensive zone into the opponent’s defensive zone (three-line rule).  If this occurs, the opposing team is awarded an indirect free kick from the defensive line closest to their opponents’ goal.  Substitutions are “on the fly”, but if this causes any interference or confusion, the referee has the ability to award an indirect free kick to the opposing team.

RED CARDS:  Any player receiving a red card shall be ineligible for the remainder of the game in which he is issued the red card and he shall not be substituted for.  The referee issuing the red card and the tournament committee shall determine whether that player is eligible to participate in other tournament games.  This tournament is a community social event, not a zero-sum struggle.  Anyone not acceptably comporting themselves will be sanctioned accordingly.

GROUP STANDINGS:  The two teams with the most points accrued in group play will play for the championship.  Three points are awarded for a win, one point for a tie, and no points for a loss.  In case of tied points, the following tiebreaker system shall be used:

a)       head-to-head competition

b)       goal difference (maximum four goals per game)*

c)       goals for

d)       kicks from the penalty mark

*e. g., a 4-0 or 10-0 result would count the same:  only four goals towards goal difference.

UNIFORMS:  Each team should bring an alternate set of uniforms and be prepared to change shirts in case of color conflict.  The team listed first is the designated “home team” and should be ready to change shirts.  Players must wear shin guards and may not wear jewelry, watches, Fitbits, etc.

Hourly rentals available – $150 for full-field . . . availability limited!
